Prevention and Development

Centre for Non Violence works with community stakeholders in the prevention of family violence and the development of education, research and policy contributions that seek to reduce and prevent the incidence of family violence.


Working in partnership to prevent violence

Our team works towards gender equity and violence prevention, with the implementation of new projects and service development areas. Engaging the community and the service sector allows us to better understand the drivers of violence and to represent the needs of women and children experiencing family violence.

We include a strong prevention focus in our work by engaging the community, early years and other sectors in professional development, training and participating in community events, with extensive partnership and representation across a broad range of networks.

We have increased our partnerships with community groups and contributed to developing models, policy and practice initiatives such as C4C, Go Goldfields, Loddon Connect, RAMP, Royal Commission and sector reforms. Training and community education is a focus, as is strategic planning and evaluation.
