Family violence is about power and control. It includes a pattern of behaviours or tactics which create fear. The behaviours are used to hurt, punish or control family members.

Centre for Non-Violence delivers a range of programs for people who are using violent and abusive behaviours to their family members and want to change their behaviour. Family safety contact is a core element of the programs as women and children’s’ safety and wellbeing are a priority.

Our programs include:

Men are encouraged to become accountable to those they have hurt, accept responsibility for their actions and actively work towards change.

The group also provides men with practical information to change abusive behaviour. This program is suitable for men wanting to identify, acknowledge and take responsibility for their past and current family violence behaviours.

Making aMENds Program
