About the role:

The Men’s Behaviour Change Sessional Worker – Principal Facilitator is a casual role based at CNV’s Bendigo office, this position consists of weekday daytime hours and evening group facilitation work, with each shift being a minimum of 4 hours.
The Men’s Behaviour Change Program is a 20-week group program, for men using violence who would like to change their behaviour, with the purpose of increasing the safety of family members.

This Role Supports Positive Client Outcomes By:

  • Facilitating Change: Co-facilitating group sessions for men who use violence, using CNV’s approved curriculum to promote accountability and respectful relationships.
  • Providing Individual Support: Conducting intake assessments, readiness counselling, and and program to ensure tailored support throughout the program.
  • Ensuring Safety: Working alongside family safety contact workers and conducting comprehensive risk assessments to prioritise the safety of women and children.
  • Maintaining Professional Standards: Keeping accurate records, participating in supervision, and adhering to CNV’s ethical and practice standards.

About you:

You’re a confident facilitator and empathetic practitioner with:

  • A tertiary undergraduate qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Men’s Family Violence.
  • Completion of MARAM training (Victorian Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework).
  • 100+ hours of observed group facilitation in men’s behaviour change programs.
  • Experience in case management, counselling, intake, and assessment.
